Hypnosis can be likened with a relaxed state, whereby we are thinking about 'nothing in particular'. We go in to hypnotic stated naturally throughout the day. The most common time is when you are travelling or driving, and then all of a sudden you come back to being fully aware of your surroundings, 'how did I get here?' you may think. There was a blank period, this is a bit like hypnosis can be - at the time you will have been in control, but your mind was somewhere else, and you can probably not put your finger on where.
